case of a vacancy in said Permanent Improvement Commis-
sion, the Mayor of the City of Annapolis is hereby author-
ized and directed to immediately fill the said vacancy.

SEC. 10. And be it enacted, That all Acts or parts of Acts
inconsistent with the provisions of this Act be and the same
are hereby repealed, and this Act to take effect from the date
of its passage.

CHAPTER 189.
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section
nine of Article 12 of the Code of Public Local Laws, title
"Garrett County," sub-title "Birds and Game," and to add
a new section thereto, to follow said section, to be known as
Section 9 A.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section nine of Article 12 of the Code of Public
Local Laws, title "Garrett County," sub-title "Birds and
Game," be and the same is hereby repealed and re-enacted,
with amendments, and that a new section be and the same is
hereby added to said Article to read, as to said two sections,
as follows:

9. It shall not be lawful for any person to kill or destroy in
Garrett County any woodcock, partridge, pheasant or wild
turkey, except during the entire month of November in each
year, and it shall be unlawful to snare or entrap any wood-
cock, partridge or pheasant at any season of the year
whatsoever, nor shall any person kill or hunt any deer in
said county for a period of five years, or until after the end of
the year 1905.

9 A. It shall not be lawful for any person not a bona fide
resident of the County of Garrett to shoot or hunt any game of
any kind in said county, without having first obtained from
the Clerk of the Circuit Court of said county a license permit-
ing the person therein named to shoot or hunt game in said
county for the period of one year from the date of the issue
thereof, and such license shall not be transferable, and in
order to guard against such transfer the clerk at the time of
issuing the same shall write a description of the party obtain-
ing the same on the back thereof, as a means of indentifica-
tion of such licensees; and no license shall be issued to any
hunting club or corporation as a club or corporation, but only
