the voter desires to vote. The judges shall keep said polls
open from 7 A. M. to 8 P. M., and at the close of the polls
count said ballots, and certify under their hands and seals the
result to the Mayor of the city. The Supervisors of Election
of Anne Arundel County are hereby authorized and directed
to furnish free of cost to the City of Annapolis the necessary
ballot-boxes and booths for conducting the said election, and
also a certified copy of the duly registered voters of Annapolis
City, to be paid for as now provided by law.

Provide for
payment of
bonds.

SEC. 6. And be it enacted, That before the submission of
the issuance of said bonds to a vote as hereinbefore provided,
the Mayor, Counsellor and Aldermen of the City of Annapo-
lis shall by proper ordinance specify the improvement to be
made with the funds arising from said bond issue, the esti-
mate cost of each improvement, and shall also provide the
time of the payment of said bonds and a safe sinking fund
for the redemption of said bonds at maturity, which ordinance
shall be published in the papers doing the county printing at
least ten days before the day of election.

Improvements

SEC. 7. And be it enacted, That the parts of the city to be
improved and the character of the improvement to be made
shall be determined by the Mayor, Counsellor and Aldermen
of the City of Annapolis and the City Permanent Improve-
ment Commission, and the awarding of contracts for the same
and all work and supervision of any kind required for the
completion of said work shall be done and performed by the
Mayor, Counsellor and Aldermen of said city acting jointly
with said Permanent Improvement Commission.

SEC. 8. And be it enacted, That in case the voters of said
city shall by majority vote determine to issue said bonds, then
the Mayor, Counsellor and Aldermen of said city and said
Permanent Improvement Commission shall at once proceed to
issue said bonds and make said improvements; but should a
majority of the voters of said city determine not to issue said
bonds, then this Act is hereby declared null and void.

SEC. 9. And be it enacted, That the existing Permanent
Improvement Commission of Annapolis, namely, Charles A.
Dubois, Charles G. Feldmeyer, William F. Williams, Julian
Brewer, Nevette Steele and James M. onroe, be and they
are hereby authorized to act as the Permanent Improvement
Commission of the City of Annapolis, under the appointment
of the Mayor, Counsellor and Aldermen of Annapolis hereto-
fore made on the part of the said Permanent Improvement
Commission to carry out the provisions of this Act, and in
