Terms of
Circuit Court.

58. The Circuit Court for Montgomery County shall hold at
Rockville, in said county, four terms of court for common law
proceedings, commencing on the third Monday in January, the
third Monday in March, the first Monday in June and the
second Monday in November in each and every year, and
jurors shall be summoned to the said March and November
terms, but shall not be summoned to said January and June
terms of said court; and the said court shall have and it is
hereby given full power to reconvene during any January term
of said court the grand jury and petit jury summoned for the
preceding November term thereof, and also to reconvene

during any June term of said court the grand jury and petit
jury summoned for the preceding March term thereof, when-
ever in the judgment of said court the public interest may be
thereby subserved; and the said juries when so reconvened
shall have in all respects the same power and authority to act
as they respectively had during the term for which they were
originally summoned.
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 179.
AN ACT to repeal Section one hundred and forty-four of
Article 23 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland,
title "Wicomico County," sub-title "Salisbury," and to
re-enact the same, with amendments.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section one hundred and forty-four of Article 23
of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland, title "Wicomico
County," sub-title "Salisbury," be and the same is hereby
repealed and re-enacted so as to read as follows:

watchmen.
Shall take
oath.
Duties.
|
144. The night watchman or night watchmen before enter-
ing upon the discharge of their duties shall subscribe to an oath
before the police justice of the town for the faithful perform-
ance of his, or their duties, for the enforcement of the ordi-
nances of the town, and the preservation of its peace and good
order, and a certificate of such oath shall be filed by the
police justice with the clerk to the Mayor and Council, and
no such night watchman or watchmen shall exercise any duty
of his office until the taking of such oath; they shall be
vested with all the police powers of a constable, and any one
