ried out of the limits of said county, and shall pay a fine of
one dollar for each and every rabbit shot, killed, caught or
taken contrary to the aforegoing section; one-half of said fine
to be paid to the informer, the remainder of said fine imposed
shall be paid to the Board of County School Commissioners of
Anne Arundel County for the use of the public schools, in said
county, and on failure to pay said fine and costs, shall be
committed to the House of Correction or the -county jail for
ten days, in the discretion of the justice trying the case.

Unlawful for
non-residents
to hunt or kill
game.

Sec. 81. It shall not be lawful for any person not a bona-fide
resident of Anne Arundel County to shoot, kill, catch, or in
any way entrap or destroy any partridge, quail, woodcock,
pheasant, rabbit or any kind of game in said county at any
time, and any person violating this section shall be deemed
guilty of a misdemeanor, and on conviction thereof before
any justice of the peace of Anne Arundel County shall be
fined not less than five dollars, nor more than fifty dollars,
and on failure to pay said fine and costs shall be committed
to the House of Correction for not less than five days nor
more than two months, in the discretion of the justice trying
the case; one-half of the said fine shall be paid to the informer,
and the remainder of said fines imposed shall be paid to the
Board of County School Commissioners of Anne Arundel
County for the use of the public schools in said county, and in
addition to said fine shall in every case have the gun and
gaming apparatus in his possession at the time of the violation
of this section confiscated and sold by judgment of the justice
before whom he is tried, and the money arising from such sale
shall be paid to the County Commissioners of Anne Arundel
County, after having deducted therefrom the costs of such
proceedings of condemnation and sale, to be by them applied
to the public road fund of the district of the said county
wherein said violation did occur; provided that any land-
owner may extend the privilege of killing said game upon his
own land to whomsoever he may.

Evidence of
violation.
|
Sec. 82. The possession by any person within said county
of any of the birds mentioned in Sections seventy-nine or
eighty, or any rabbit at any time in which the shooting,
trapping or killing is prohibited by said sections, or the selling
or exposing or offering for sale any of the birds mentioned in
the aforegoing sections, shall be prima-facie evidence of the
violation thereof.
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage .
