the Treasurer of this State shall be and he is hereby author-
ized and directed, in the name and on behalf of this State,
to subscribe for so many shares of the capital stock of said
company as shall amount to the sum of ten thousand dollars
as aforesaid, and as soon as it shall appear to the Governor,
by the affidavit of the president of the said company, that
additional bona fide subscriptions to the capital stock of said
company, equal to the amount of the balance of said sum
of fifty-eight thousand dollars has been actually made, the
Treasurer of this State shall be and he is hereby authorized
and directed in the name and on behalf of this State to sub-
scribe for as many additional shares of the capital stock of
said company as shall equal in amount the sum of the
balance of said fifty-eight thousand dollars as aforesaid, and
the Treasurer shall out of any unappropriated money in the
treasury pay the installments on each share of the capital
stock of said company for which he may subscribe as afore- .
said on the warrant of the Comptroller, which latter officer
is hereby directed to issue, as said installment may be called
for by the directors of said Cherry Hill, Elkton & Chesa-
peake City Railway Company of Cecil County, in accordance
with the orders, rules and regulations adopted by them.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the State of Maryland shall
be entitled to two directors in said company, and shall be
entitled to the same rights in said company as belong to other
holders of shares of this stock, except the right to vote for
directors.

SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments Section
one hundred and seventy-nine, of Article 17, of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland, entitled "Prince George's
County," sub-title "Jurors," as amended by the Acts of
eighteen hundred and ninety-eight, Chapter four hundred
and thirty-three.
