other improved motive power, except steam, and either sep-
arately or in trains, and shall have full power and right to
erect and maintain all motors, poles, conduits, trenches,
wires, cables and other connections and things necessary for

said purposes, and shall have further power to build bridges,
depots, stations, machinery, power-houses, car-barns, and all
appurtenances to said railway, and all switches leading to and
from the same, and all necessary turn-outs and connections in
said county, and to charge for the carriage and conveyance of
persons and property on said railways such sums of money as
the directors of said company shall from time to time see

proper to charge; and the course and route of the said railway
shall be as follows: The said railway shall begin at Sparrow's
Point, in Baltimore County, and run thence on the road lead-
ing therefrom to the North Point Road, and thence upon or
along the North Point Road to the road formerly known
as the Baltimore and Havre de Grace Turnpike Road, and
now commonly called the Philadelphia Road; thence in a
northeasterly direction upon or along said road, and passing
the Herring Run Track to the right thereof to Bowly's lane;
thence upon or along Bowly's lane to Furley avenue, and
thence upon or along Furley avenue to Southern avenue,
crossing the Belair Turnpike Road, at grade or otherwise, at or
near Gardenville; thence upon or along Southern avenue to the
Harford Turnpike Road; and thence crossing said Harford
Turnpide Road at grade or otherwise to reach or connect with
Grindon lane, and thence upon or along Grindon lane to the Hil-
len Road, and thence upon or along the Hillen road to Arlington
avenue; thence upon or along said Arlington avenue to the
York Turnpike road; thence upon or along the said York
Turnpike road to Cold Spring lane, and thence upon or along
Cold Spring lane, and continuing its course in a westerly
dirction to the Old Pimlico road ; thence upon or along the
said Old Pimlico road to Rogers avenue; thence from the end or
termination of Rogers avenue in a westerly or northwesterly
direction to the county road, which leads from Reisterstown
Turnpike road to the Old Liberty Turnpike road, passing by
Mount Hope Retreat; thence in a southerly or southwesterly
direction along public or county roads to the Dogwood road,
and thence upon or along the Dogwood road to the town of
Franklin, and thence southerly or southeasterly upon or along
lanes, roads or avenues there being, or otherwise to the Old
Frederick road; thence upon or along other lanes or roads or
avenues, or otherwise southerly to the Frederick Turnpike
road, at or in the neighborhood of North Bend; thence across
