the twentieth day following; provided, however, that the
meshes in all seines are in the bar and not less than one and
one-half inches.

Unlawful to
catch terrapin
between
certain dates.

115A. It shall be unlawful for any person to take or catch
or have in possession in this county any terrapin between the
first day of April and the first day of November in each year,
the term terrapin to apply to those known as diamond back,
snappers, skilpot and slider.

Terrapin.
Certain size.

115B. It shall be unlawful for any person to take or catch
or have in possession in Talbot County any terrapin of a less
size than five inches in length on the bottom shell.

Terrapin eggs

115C. It shall be unlawful for any person to interfere with
or in any manner destroy terrapin eggs.

Who may
catch terrapin.

115D. None but bona fide residents of Talbot County, of
this State, shall take or catch terrapin therein.

Penalty for
violation.

115E. Any person violating any of the preceding sections
shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon convic-
tion thereof before a justice of the peace of Talbot County
shall be fined a sum not less than five nor more than ten dol-
lars for each terrapin so taken, or held in possession, or for
destroying such eggs, and the terrapins so held in possession
shall be confiscated, and returned by the officers making the
arrest to some suitable place for their preservation, one-half
of all such fines to go to the game warden.

115F. The possession by any person of terrapin between
the first day of April and the first day of November shall be
conclusive evidence of violation of this Article.

115G. The constables, game wardens and officers of the
State fishery force shall, upon information of any one, arrest
any person or persons violating the provisions of this Article,
and take them before the nearest justice of the peace to
be dealt with in accordance with the provisions of Section
115E.

catch crabs
with scoops,
etc.

115H. It shall not be lawful for any but citizens and resi-
dents who have resided in Talbot County for twelve months
to take or catch crabs with scoops, scrapes or trot-line in
the tributaries of Great Choptank River lying solely in Talbot
County.

Penalty.

115I. Any person violating the provisions of the preceding
section shall, on conviction thereof, be fined the sum of
twenty -five dollars for each and every offense, and shall stand
committed until fine and costs are paid.
