Anne Arundel
County.
Liquors and
intoxicating;
drinks.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 184C of Article 2 of the Code of Public
Local Laws, title "Anne Arundel County," sub-title "Liquors
and Intoxicating Drinks," be and the same are hereby re-
pealed and re-enacted with amendments, so as to read as
follows :

Licenses to
sell liquors.
How granted,
etc.

184C. No license to sell intoxicating liquors shall be granted
in Annapolis, except by the Mayor, Counsellor and Aldermen,
at a meeting of said corporation, and only to citizens of the
United States, of temperate habits and good moral character,
who shall have complied with the requirements of the suc-
ceeding sections of this sub-title; and no license shall be
granted to anyone in Annapolis who shall not have resided
therein for the period of one year before the date of issuing
the same.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take-
effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 663.
AN ACT to add an additional section to Article 4 of the Code
of Public Local Laws, entitled "City of Baltimore," sub-
title "Taxes," to be known as Section 836A.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That an additional section be added to Article 4, of the
Code of Public Laws, entitled "City of Baltimore," sub-title
"Taxes," to be known as Section 836A.

SEC. 836A. In all cases where lands held by lease have
been sold for the non-payment of taxes or assessments due
thereon, the owner of the reversionary interest therein shall

have the right at any time within one year and a day from the
day of such sale, on paying or tendering in payment to the
collector the whole amount of the money received by such
collector from the sale of the lot or parcel of ground, together
with the further sum of one-half per cent, per month interest
from the time of sale to the time of such tender, to be substituted
in the place of said purchaser of said lot or parcel of ground
so sold, and the sum so paid shall be by the collector deliv-
ered or tendered to the purchaser whose rights in the property
shall thenceforth cease and determine.
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.
