Route.

mechanical devices and appliances suitable to operate an elec-
trical railway and to run cars thereon in Baltimore County
and City, beginning at the City Hall, in Baltimore City, and
running thence in a westerly or northwesterly direction in,
over and upon such streets and highways in said Baitimore City
upon which the right to construct and operate said railway
may be granted by the Mayor and City Council of Baltimore,
to a point on the boundary line of said city; thence in a north-
westerly direction through Baltimore County, between the
Windsor Road and Reisterstown Turnpike inclusive, to Rock-
dale or Randallstown, in said Baltimore County, or to such other
place or places in said county and city as may be deemed most
advantageous to the interest of the company and traveling
public.

connect its
tract with
other railway

Sec. 3. And be it further enacted, That the said railway
company be and is hereby authorized and empowered to con-
nect its track with those of any other railway at any point or
points upon its route, making such points its termini, if it
should so desire, and to enter into agreements with any pas-
senger street railway company in Baltimore City for the joint
use of the tracks and other property of such railway company,
upon such terms as may be agreed upon between it and such
other company, said company being hereby authorized to
make such connections and enter into such agreements.

SEC. 4. And.be it enacted, That in the event the said rail-
way company cannot make such connections or enter into
such agreements for the use of the tracks of any passenger
street railway company within the limits of Baltimore City,
then the said Baltimore County and City Railway Com-
pany shall have the right to parallel the tracks of any
passenger street railway company in Baltimore City, where
the laying of said parallel tracks will not interfere with
the traffic on said streets, and to construct and main-
tain the necessary poles and wires along and over its
tracks and to. and from its power-houses for that purpose;
provided, however, that it shall be unlawful for said company
to build or construct its road on, over or across any street or

and over its tracks without the consent of the Mayor and
City Council of Baltimore being first had and obtained; and
provided, further, that in the construction of said road in
Baltimore City, and the proper repair of the same and of the
keeping in repair of the roadbed within the limits of the tracks
the same shall be done by said railway company, subject to
