CHAPTER 645.
AN ACT to prevent the extermination of game in Worcester
county.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Aseembly of Mary-
land, That it shall be unlawful to shoot, kill, catch or trap
any woodcock in Worcester County before the fifteenth day
of June in the year nineteen hundred and two, and so much
of Section thirteen of Article 99, of the Code of Public General
Laws, title "Wild Fowl, Birds and Game," sub-title "Birds,
and Game," as refer to woodcock, is hereby suspended until
said fifteenth day of June in the year nineteen hundred and
two.

CHAPTER 646.

House of
Refuge.
|
AN ACT to appropriate a certain sum to the House of Refuge
for the purpose of remodeling the plumbing and closets of
the building, and for increasing the water supply and for
other necessary repairs."

Preamble.
|
WHEREAS, It has been represented to the General Assembly
that the plumbing and closets for the use of the said Refuge
are unsanitary and obsolete, and are a menace to the health
of the boys, and that the supply of water is also inadequate,
and in the event of a fire in the institution the scarcity of
water may prove serious, and that other repairs are necessary
to the building; therefore,

for renewing
and repairing
closets, etc.

SECTION 1. Re it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the sum of five thousand dollars be and is hereby
appropriated to the House of Refuge, to be expended by the
Board of Managers in renewing and repairing the plumbing
and closets connected with said institution in such way as
they may deem most beneficial, and for the purpose of making
other necessary repairs to the building.
SEC. 2. Be it enacted, That the Treasurer, on the warrant
of the Comptroller, be and is hereby authorized to pay to the
Board of Managers of the House of Refuge the sum of five
thousand dollars, to be taken from the levy of nineteen hun-
dred.
SEC. 3. Be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect from,
the date of its passage.
