Senate bill entitled "An Act to authorize the change of
name of the Washington and Rockville Railway Com-
pany of Montgomery county, a corporation formed under
the provisions of Article 23, of the Code of Public Gen-
eral Laws of this State, and to authorize the consolida-
tion of said company with certain other corporations in-
corporated for the same or similar purposes, and to
grant additional powers to the said railway company."
Endorsed: "Amended, read the third time and passed
by yeas and nays."
AMENDMENTS PROPOSED

Section 1, line 2, insert "the” after "said."
Section 2, line 7, "had” instead of "has."
Section 3, line 5, insert "Maryland” after ‘county."
Section 3, line 9, insert "Washington and” before "GI en."
Section 3, line 8, "Beach” instead of "Branch."
Section 3, line 15, "the” before "Washington."
Section 4, line 1, "the” before "Washington."
Section 5, line 1, "the” after "said."
Section 6, line 2, "the” after "said."
Section 6, line 5, after "railroad” insert "or railway
companies."
Section 6, line 18, "the” after "said."
Section 6, line 7, strike out "railroad” and insert "com-
panies."
Amend by adding at the end of section 4 the follow-
ing; "Provided, however, should said corporation extend
its lines into the city of Baltimore, it shall be subject in
all respects to the provisions of chapter 123, of the Acts
of the General Assembly of 1898, as a condition prece-
dent thereto, and shall first have and secure the consent
of the Mayor and City Council of Baltimore."
