Mr. Dodson, from Select Committee, reported favor- ably, with proposed amendment, House bill entitled "An Act to more definitely define the waters in Talbot county, where oysters may be taken with scoop, scrape or dredge by residents of Talbot county." AMENDMENT PROPOSED. In section 1, strike out all on lines 7, 8 and 9, and in- sert after the word "license," on line 6 the words "to take oysters with scrape, scoop or dredge in the waters of Talbot county, issued by the Clerk of the Circuit Court. for Talbot county." Which proposed amendment was adopted, and The bill was read the second time. Also, favorably, House bill entitled "An Act to require the County Commissioners of Talbot county, to pay annually to the County Commissioners of St. Michael's and the commis- sioners of Trappe, a certain portion of tax levied or taxed upon the property within the limits of the town of St. Michael's." Which was read the second time. Also, favorably, House bill entitled "An Act to prohibit the clerk of the Circuit Court for Talbot county from issuing license to any person or company or circus riders or equestrian performers or to any person or company to exhibit for reward any animal or animals or natural or artificial, curiosity (except models of useful inventions) during the months of August, September and October (except to fair associations), or persons authorized by them), and providing penalties for such unlicensed exhibitions." Which was read the second time. Mr. Rohrback, from Select Committee, reported favor- ably, Senate bill entitled "An Act to provide for the repairs of the public roads of Emmittsburg District, in Freder- ick county." |
