On line 14, after the word "State” in section 87, add the following: "And the said tax commissioner shall assess the same, and certify the assessment and the amount of bonds so held, to the Comptroller and, the County Commissioners of the various counties of the State, and the Appeal Tax Court of Baltimore city, in the same manner as shares of stock are now certified, with the same right of appeal from the assessment of the State Tax Commissioners as now allowed in cases of the assessment of capital stock of corporations in this State." On line 14, section 87, after the word "and” insert the following: "The corporation shall." Strike out all after the word "assessment," on line 48 section 18 C, and insert in lieu thereof the following: "Section 18 C, line 3, within 30 days after the assess- ment has been certified to said county or city by the State Tax Commissioner in the same manner as appeals are now allowed to corporations in section 144, Article 81, Code of Public General Laws, and in case of appeals by either the corporation, the city or the county in which said corporation may be located, both the County Commis- sioners of the various counties of the State, or Appeal Tax Court of Baltimore city, as the case may be, and the corpora- tion shall be notified of such appeal and the time when the same shall be heard, and in case the value of the stock shall be raised, the State may sue for and collect the amounts due for said increase." Which proposed amendments were severally adopted, and The bill was ordered to lay over until Wednesday. Mr. Bryan, from Committee on Fish and Game, report- ed favorably, with proposed amendment, Senate bill entitled "An Act to add an additional sec- tion to Article 99, of the Code of Public General Laws of Maryland, entitled ‘Wild Fowl. Birds and Game,' to be known as ‘Sections 18 and 19.'" AMENDMENT PROPOSED. Amend by adding at the end of section 19 the follow- ing: |
