Mr. Moore, from Select Committee, reported favorably,
Senate bill entitled "An Act to encourage the estab-
lishment and development of manufactures and manufac-
turing industries in the town of Snow Hill, Worcester
county."
Which was read the second time and ordered to be en-
grossed for a third reading.

Mr. Dodson, from Select Committee, reported favor-
ably, with proposed amendments,

House bill entitled "An Act to add additional sections
to Article 21 of the Code of Public Local Laws, title ‘Tal-
bot County,' sub-title ‘Justices of the Peace and Consta-
bles,' to be decignated as ‘Sections 117 A, 117 B, 117 C,
117 D, 118 E, 117 F, 117 G, 117 H, 117 1.'"

AMENDMENTS PROPOSED.
At the end of section 117 A to add the words:

"Provided, however, that nothing contained in this Act
shall preclude the said police justice from trying crimi-
nal cases which arise in any other districts of said coun-
ty if the same shall be properly brought before him."

After the word "defaulters” in section 117 F, add the
words, "provided that all the provisions of this Act re-
lating to the quarterly returns to be made by said police
justice and all the penalties and forfeitures imposed on
said police justices for failure to perform the duties im-
posed upon him by this Act, or by any other Law of the
State of Maryland, shall be applicable to all other jus-
tices of the peace having criminal jurisdiction in Talbot
Co u n ty."

President Hubner, from Select Committee, reported
favorably, with proposed amendments,

House bill entitled "An Act to license traders in Balti-
more county."

AMENDMENTs PRoPosED.
In line 4, section 1 of engrossed bill, after the word
"Baltimore," insert "Carrrll, Howard, Anne Arundel and
Harford."
