Mr. Bouic, from Select Committee, reported favorably
with proposed amendment,
Senate bill entitled "An Act to authorize the town of
Takoma Park, to borrow an additional sum of money not
exceeding ten thousand dollars with credit of said town,
(if the same shall be necessary for the purpose of con-
structing and maintaining water works and a sewerage
system for said town), to issue bouds for the payment
thereof, and to levy taxes to redeem said bonds and to
pay the interest thereon, to authorize the issue of said
bonds and also a prior issue of bnnds forjhe purpose of
constructing and maintaining water works and a sewerage
system only."
AMENDMENT PROPOSED.

On line 5 after the word "town” and before the word
"to," "Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the Mayor and Council of Takoma
Park be and it is hereby authorized and empowered if in
its discretion it he necessary, to borrow an additional
sum of money not exceeding ten thousand dollars on the
credit of the town of Takoma Park for the purpose of
constructing and maintaining its water works and sewer-
age system, and."
