Somerset county, to issue bonds and to appropriate the
proceeds arising from the ssle thereof towards providing
additional fire protection, and establishing and maine
taining a sewerage system and other Improvements in
said town, and to submit the question of the Issue of said
bonds to the qualified voters thereof for determination.
Which was read the second time.
Mr. Ravenscroft, from Select Committee, reported fav-
orably,
House bill untitled "An Act to prohibit the sale of
spirituous or fermented liquors within three miles of
Kitzmillersville District No. 1, In Garrett county."
Which was read the second time.
Mr. WIlkinson, from Select Committee, reported fav-
orably, with proposed amendments,
House bill entitled "An Act to rapeal and re-enact
with amendments section 25, of Article 19, of Cods of
Public Local Laws, title ‘St. Mary's County,' under the
new sub-title ‘County Treasurer,' and to add certain new
sections to said Article."
AMENDMENTS PROPOSED.
1. In line £2 strike out the word "May” and insert the
word "July."
• 2. Strike out the words "said treasurer," in line 61, and
insert the words "county commissioners of said county."
3. In line 76 strike out the words "November succeed-
ing” and insert the words "September in."
4. In line 95, strike out the word "June," and insert
the word "January."
5. In line 97 strike out the word "July," and iusert as
follows: "February."
6. After the word "levy” in line 98, insert as follows:
"And the said treasurer may, In his discretion, extend
the time for such advertisement and sale until the first of
June, when all delinquents shall be advertised."
