On motion of Mr. Putzel,
Said bill was made the Special Order of the Day for
Tuesday, March 20th, at 2 P. M.
Also, favorably,
House bill entitled "An Act to give sanction of the
Legislature to the gifts, devises and bequests to divers
charitable and religious institutions named in the last
will and testament of Louis Bode, late of Baltimore city,
deceased, subject to the conditions and limitations and
for the purposes in said will mentioned, and to prevent
any failure of the testamentary purposes of the said
Louis Bode, by reason of uncertainty and mis-description
of any of said beneficiaries."
Which was read the second time.
Mr. Brewington, from Committee on Education, re-
ported favorably,
House Joint Resolution of he General Assembly in
relation to the equitable share of' this State in the public
lands of the United States for the benefit of the public
schools of Maryland.
Which was read the second time.
Also, favorably,
House bill entitled "An Act to repeal and re-enact with
amendments, section 19, of Article 77, of the Code of
Public General Laws, title ‘Public Education.'"
Which was read the second time.
Also, favorably,
Senate bill entitled "An Act supplementary to an Act
founding a college in Frederick, passed at a session of
the General Assembly of Maryland, 1829, chapter 183,
authorizing the establishment by the Board of Visitors of
said college of a department of Pedagogy."
Which was read the second time and ordered to be en-
grossed for a third reading.
Mr. Williams, of Harford, from Committee on Consti-
tutional Amendments, reported favorably, with proposed
