deed of a certaiu piece of land to the vestry of the church
of the Atonement, a body corporate cf the city of Balti-
more."
Which was read time second time.
Also, favorably, with proposed amendments.
Senate bill No. 213, entitled "An Act to add three new
sections to Article 23 of the Code of Public General
Laws, title ‘Corporations,' sub-title ‘General Regulations'
to follow section 85, and to be designated as ‘Sections 85
A, 85 B and 85 C."
AMENDMENTS PP0POSED.
In line 11 of section 85 A, strike out the words "paid
up by it” after time words "required to be," and insert in
lieu timereof time word "subscribed."
In line 9 of section 85 B, strike out the words "paid
in” after the word "be," and insert in lieu thereof the
word "subscribed."
In line 6 of section 85 C, strike out the words "this
Act” at the end of the line, and insert in lieu thereof the
words "Sections 85 A, 85 B and 85 C of this Article."
At the end of section 85 C, add time following words:
"And the State Tax Commissioner is hereby charged
with the duty of carrying the provisions of said sections
into effect by assessirmg the said franchise tax upon the
several corporations in said sections required to pay the
same."
Which proposed amendments were severally adopted,

The bill was read time second time and ordered to be en-
grossed for a third reading.
Mr. Moore, from Committee on Corporations, reported
favorably, with proposed amendmenes,
House bill No. 219, entitled "An Act to incorporate time
Inter-State Trust and Guaranty Company."
AMENDMENTS PROPOSED.
Amend section 1, by adding thereto at end of section
the words "time house office and place of business of said
corporation shall be at all times, at, and witimin time city
of Cumberland, Allegany county, Maryland, at which
place its business shall at all tinmes be transacted."
