Therefore he it ordered, That the Comptroller of the
Treasury is hereby respectfully requested to furnish to
the Senate the balance to the credit of said Contingent
Funds to the amounts appropriated for said funds for
the fiscal year 1900, together wth a detailed statement of

•the disbursements made therefrom.
Which was adopted.

On motion of Mr. Brewington, it was
Ordered, That the President, Secretary of the Senate
and Journal Clerk, and the members of the Engrossing
Committee receive severally, for their services in en-
grossing, preparing and enrolling and signing bills in
the recess of the General Assembly, the same compensa-
tion as was allowed for the same services at the last ses-
sion of the General Assembly, and that the President of
the Senate and Chairman of the Engrossing Committee
designate the clerks to be employed, and that such clerks
shall receive the same compensation as hereby allowed
the members of the committee, same being $100 (one
hundred dollars) each.
Which was read and referred to the Committee on
Finance.

INTRODUCVON OF BILLS.
By Mr. Applegarth,
A bill entitled "An Act to repeal sections 10 A, and 42,
to repeal and re-enact with amendments, !ection 1, 2, 3, 8,
9, 11, 12, 15, 19, 22, 34, 36, 40, 57, 58, 59, 60, 62, 63, 66,
and 67. of Article 72, of the Code of Public General Laws,
title ‘Oysters."
Which was read the first time and referred to the Com-
mittee on Chesapeake Bay and Tributaries.
By President Hubner,
A bill entitled "An Act to repeal chapter 464, of the
Acts of the General Assembly of Maryland, Session of
1898, entitled an Act to authorize the Board of County
School Commissioners of Baltimore county to establish
Kindergarten Schools in said county."
Which was read the first time and referred to Senators
Hubner, Williams of Anne Arundel and Williams of Har-
ford.
