Which was read the second time. The question then recurred upon whether or not said bill should be engrossed for a third reading. Which was determined in the affirmative by yeas and nays, as follows: AFFIRMATIVE. Messrs. President, Gray, Applegarth, Kirwan, Beasman, Marsh, Betts. Messick, Bouic, Moore, Brewington, Moses, Bryan, Peter, Crothers, Rohrback, Dennis, Wilkinson—19. Dodson, NEGATIVE. Messrs. Baker, Ravenscroft, Putzel, Williams, of Har., —4. ORDERS. On motion of Mr. Crothers, it was Ordered, That the Treasurer of the State be, and he is hereby respectfully requesLed to furnish the Senate tho names of the banks in which the State's deposits were placed on the first day of January, 1900, and the rate of interest paid on the same. Which was adopted. On motion of Mr. Crothers, Whereas, There is now pending before the Senate a bill to meet the deficiencies for the year 1900, in the fol- lowing contingent funds: Contingent Fund of the Execu- tive, the Contingent Fund of the Board of Public Works and the Contingent Fund of the Comptroller. |
