Senate bill entitled "An Act to add new sections to
Article 2, of the Code of Public Local Laws, title ‘Anne
Arundel County,' sub-title ‘Circuit Court,' to be desig-
nated ‘Sections 108 A, 108 B, 108 C and 108 D, authoriz-
ing the appointment of a stenographer clerk to the grand
jury, and defining his duties, obligations and pay."
Which was read the second time and ordered to be
engrossed for a third reading.
Mr. Bryan, from Select Committee, reported favorably,
House bill entitled "An Act to authorize the Board of
Police Commissioners of Baltimore city to increase the
pension of Jas. P. Anderson, a retired patrolman of the
police force of Baltimore city."
Which was read the second time.
Also, favorably,
House bill entitled "An Act to authorize the Board of
Police Commissioners of Baltimore city to increase the
pension of W S. Fairbauk, a retired policeman of the
police force of Baltimore city."
Which was read the second time.
Also, favorably,
Senate bill entitled "An Act directing the Appeal Tax
Court of Baltimore city not to issue any permit for the
erection of new buildings in said city until all taxes due
are paid upon the land on which said buildings are to be
erected."
Which was read the second time and ordered to be en-
grossed for a third reading.
Also, unfavorably,
Senate bill entitled "An Act to repeal section 30, Arti-
cle 4, title ‘City of Baltimore,' of Code of Public Local
Laws of Maryland, and the several Acts and parts of
Acts amendatory thereof, and to re-enact the same with
amendments."
Which report was adopted.

Mr. Peter, fram Select Committee, reported favorably
Senate bill entitled "An Act to empower and authorize
the Mayor and City Council of Ellicott city to issue im-
