Senate bill entitled "An Act to repeal section 8, of
chapter 317, Acts of 1896, entitled an Act to create a
Treasurer for Howard county, and to provide for the col-
lection of taxes therein, and to repeal and re-enact with
amendments sections 5, 7 and 10, of said chapter”
Which was read the second time and ordered to be en-
grossed for a third reading.

Mr. Moses, from Select Committee, reported favorably,
Senate bill entitled "An Act directing the Police Com-
missioners of Baltimore city to pay to James Harvey, a
pension -of $10 per week."

grossed for a third reading.
On motion of Mr. Williams, of Harford,
House bill entitled "An Act to license traders in Bal-
timore county."
Was recommitted to Select Committee.

Mr. Williams, of Harford, from Select Committee, re-
ported favorably,

Senate bill No. 181, entitled "An Act to repeal and re-
enact with amendments Section 2, Article 87, of the Code
of Public General Laws' of Maryland, title ‘Sheriff,' sub-
title ‘Oath of Office and Bonds,' as the same was repealed
and re-enacted by chapter 647 of the Acts of the General
Assembly of Maryland, passed at the January session,
1894."

grossed for a third reading.

Mr. Beasman, from Select Committee, reported favor-
ably,

House bill entitled "An Act to repeal sections 167 to
197, inclusive, of Article 7, of the Code' of Public Local
Laws of Maryland, title ‘Carroll County,' sub-title ‘Union
Bridge,' and several Acts and parts of Acts amendatory
thereof, and to re-enact said Article 7, sections 167 to 197,
inclusive, title ‘Carroll County,' sub-title ‘Union Bridge,'
