The President, in accordance with a previous order of
the Senate appointed Timothy Kelley Clerk to the Com-
mittee on Finance.

INTRODUCTION OF BILLS.

By Mr. Wilkinson,

A bill entitled "An Act to add a new section to Article
23, of the Code of Public General Laws, title "Corpor-
ations," sub-title "Railroads," to follow section 177, and
to be designated as "Section 177A."

Which was read the first time, and referred to the
Committee on Corporations.

By Mr. Moses,
A bill entitled "An Act to add an additional section to
Article 33, of the Code of Public General Laws of Mary-
land, entitled "Election," said section to follow section
83 of said Article, to be designated "Section 83A."

Which was read the first time, and referred to the
Committee on Elections.

By Mr. Putzel,
A bill entitled "An Act to provide for the publication
the State Board of Public Works of large scale, geo-
graphical and physical maps of Maryland, for use in
the public schools of the State, and to make an appro-
priation therefor."

Which was read the first time, and referred to the
Committee on Finance.

Also,

A bill entitled "An Act to authorize the Board of Police
Commissioners of Baltimore City, to pension Andrea P.
Caldwell, formerly a policeman and clerk of the police
force of Baltimore City."

Which was read the first time, and referred to Senators
Bryan, Moses and Putzel.

By Mr. Applegarth,
• A bill entitled "An Act to establish a State Normal
and Industrial School for the education of colored youths,
and to appropriate a sum of money therefor."
