77, of the Code of Public General Laws of the State of
Maryland, title "Public Education," as re-enacted by
chapter 135, of the Acts of Assembly of the State of
Maryland, at the session of 1896, and to re-enact said
section so as to read as follows."
Which was read the first time, and referred to the
Committee on Education.

A bill entitled "An Act to add an additional section to
Article 75 of the Code of Public General Laws, to be
known as 'Section 15 A,' of said Article."
Which was read the first time, and referred to the
Committee on Judicial Proceedings.
Also,
A bill entitled "An Act to protect the citizens of the
State of Maryland from unjust discriminations by elec-
tric railroad companies and other companies carrying
passengers and freight.
Which was read the first time, and referred to the
Committee on Judicial Proceedings.
REPORTS OF STANDING COMMITTEES.
Mr. Crothers, from the Committee on Finance, re-
ported unfavorably the following order:
Ordered, That the public printer furnish to the folders
of the Senate daily copies of the Journal of the Senate
for the newspapers of the State, and that the folders de-
liver them to the Postmaster of the Senate, who will
stamp and mail one copy each day to every newspaper
in the State.
Which report was adopted.
Mr. Crothers, from the Committee on Finance, also
reported unfavorably the following order:
Ordered, That Wrn. J. C. Dulany, the State Printer, be
directed to send to each of the newspapers in the State
