Also, favorably, Senate bill No. 217, entitled "An Act to amend the charter and enlarge the powers of the Maryland Tele- phone and Telegraph Company of Baltimore city." AMENDMENT PROPOSED. By Mr. Putzel, Amend by striking out the following words, on lines 6 and 7, of section 2, "and upon such rates or tolls for such interchange of traffic or business," Which proposed amendment. was adopted, and The bill was read the second time and ordered to be engrossed for a third reading. Mr. Rohrback, from Committee on Corporations, re- ported favorably, with proposed amendment, Senate bill No. 189, entitled "An Act to repeal and re enact with amendments, sections 2 and 3 of chapter 322, of the Acts of the General Assembly of Maryland of 1898, entitled ‘An Act to amend the charter and extend the powers of the Frederick Electric Light and Power Company of Frederick city, a corporation formed under Article 23 of Code of Public General Laws of Maryland, title ‘Corporations,' and recorded in one of the records of corporations of Frederick county, Liber No. 2, folios 265 and 266." AMENDMENTS PROPOSED. Athend Senate bill No. 189, by striking out all after the word "provided," in line 16 of section 2, as amended, and substituting for the same, after said word "provided," the following: "That this section shall not be construed to confer upon said company any other or greater authority than it had heretofore provided in reference to the use of any of the streets, lanes, alleys or roadways within the cor- porate limits of the city of Frederick."
