House bill entitled "An Act to repeal and re-enact with
amendments, section 1, of Article 17, of the Code of PnbT
hic General Laws, title ‘Clerks of Courts,' and to re-enact
the same with amendment so far as the same applies to
Talbot county."
AMENDMENTS PROPOSED.
On lines 4 and 5, of section 1, strike out the words "so
far;" on line 20, section 1, strike out the words ‘Talbot
-County,' and insert after the word "for” on line 20, sec-
tion 1, the following: "The respective counties as the
ease may be." In lines 3 and 4 of title strike out "so far
as the same applies to Talbot county."
Which proposed amendments were severally adopted,

The bill was read the second tjme and ordered to be
engrossed for a third reading.
Also, unfavorably,
Senate bill No. 146, entitled "An Act to repeal section
6, of Article 26, of the Code af Public General Laws, title
‘Courts," sub-title ‘General Provisions,' as amended by
chapter 411 of the Acts of 1890, and to re-enact same
with amendments.'"

Mr. Rohrback, from the Committee on Corporations,
reported favorably,
Senate bill No. 215, entitled "An Act to amend the
charter of the Modern Language Association of America,
of Baltimore city, a body corporate, duly incorporated
under the General Laws of the State of Maryland."
Which was read the second time and ordered to be en-
grossed for a third. reading.
Also, favorably,
Senate bill No. 212, entitled "An Act to repeal and re-
enact with amendments section 227, of Article 23, of the
Code of Public General Laws, title ‘Corporations.'"
