Mr. Crothers, from Committee on Finance, reported
favorably,
Senate Joint Resolution to protect the interest of the
State of Maryland in respect of the stock held by it in
the Washington Branch of the Baltimore and Ohio Rail-
road Company.
Which was read the second time, and ordered to be
engrossed for a third reading.
Also, favorably, the following order
Ordered, That the sum of twelve dollars ($12) be paid
the Baltimore Typewriter Exchange for rental of type-
writer during the Legislative session of 1900, and that
50 cts. be paid John E. McCusker to refund expressage
paid on said typewriter by him.
Which was adopted.
Mr. Moore, from Committee on Corporations, reported
favorably, with proposed amendments,
Senate bill No. 139, entitled "An Act to authorize the
Queen Anne's Railroad Company of Maryland and Dela-
ware, to change its corporate name, and granting certain
additional' powers and franchises to said company."
AMENDMENT PROPOSED.
Strike out all after the words "a bill," and insert en
titled an Act to authorize the Queen Anne's Railroad
Company of Maryland and Delaware to change its cor-
porate name, and granting certain additional powers and
franchises to said company."
"Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Queen Anne's Railroad Company, a body
corporate, heretofore incorporated under the laws of the
State of Maryland and Delaware, is hereby granted the
power to change the corporate name of such body corpo-
rate to the Baltimore and Delaware Breakwater Railroad
Company, when adopted by the board of directors of
said body corporate at any lawful meeting; provided a
copy of the resolutions of the board of directors author-
izing such change or adoption of name, certified by the
president and secretary of said company, under the cor
porate seal of the company, shall be filed and recorded in
the office of the Secretary of this Sta.te. And all rights,
jowers and privileges heretofore granted to said body
