536 JOURNAL OF PROCEEDINGS [Mar. 6 Mr. Peter, from Select Committee, reported favorably, Senate bill entitled "An Act to repeal section 279, of Article 17, of the Code of Public Local Laws, title ‘Prince George's County,' sub-title ‘Sheriff,' and to re-enact the same with amendments.' " Which was read the second time and ordered to be en- grossed for a third reading. Mr. Dodson, from Select Committee, reported favor- ably, Senate bill entitled "An Act to authorize and empower the commissioners of St. Michaels to borrow money on the credit of said town for the purpose of coustructiug water works and electric lights for said town, to issue bonds for the payment of the same, and to levy taxes on the assessable property of said town, to redeem said bonds and pay the interest thereon." Which was read the second time and ordered to be engrossed for a third reading. Mr. Rohrback, from Select Committee, reported fav- orably, Senate bill entitled "An Act to empower the Board of Connty Commissioners of Frederick county, Maryland, to provide for free scholarships to students of Frederick county in the Bnckeystown Normal School, in said cc nnty." Which was read the second time and ordered to be en- grossed for a third reading. Also, unfavorably, Honse bill entitled "An Act to authorize the Governor of Maryland to appoint a notary pnblic for the town of Myersville, in Frederick county, Maryland." Which report was adopted. The Clerk of the House of Delegates appeared, and delivered the following message: BY THE HOUSE OF DELEGATES. March 6th, 1900.
