Which was read a second time and ordered to be en-
grossed for a third reading.
Also, favorably,
House bill entitled "An Act to amend the charter of the
Sovereign Grand Lodge of the Independent Order of Odd
Fellows, as incorporated by chapter 18 of the Acts passed
at the January sessIon of the General Assembly of Mary-
land of 1880, by changing the name of said corporation
to the ‘Sovereign Grand Lodge of the Independent Order
of Odd Fellows."
Which was read the second time.
Also, favorably, with proposed amendments,
Senate bill No. 158, entitled "An Act to incorporate
the Calvert Banking and Deposit Company."
AMENDMENTS PROPOSED.
Add a section after section 5, to be known as ‘Sectlon
5 A: so as to read as follows:
"Section 5 £ Provided tha% said corporation shall be
subject at all times to the provisions of the Acts of 1892,
chapters 109 and 279, or amendments or supplements
thereto."
Add an additional section to be known as Section 5 B,
and to read as follows:
"Section S B. And the home office of said body corpor-
.Me shall be located in Baltimore city, Maryland."
Add an additional section to be known as "Section 5 C,"
and to read as follows:
"Section 5 C. And be it enicted, that said body cor-
porate shall exercise the powers and rights conferred by
this Act within six months after the passage of this Act
otherwise this Act shall thereafter be null and void, and
of no force or effect whatever."
Which proposed amendments were severally adopted.
FURTHER AMENDMENT PROPOSED.

By Mr. Putzel,
Amend section 2 by striking ont from the word "each"
at the beginning of line 3, to and including the word
"non-assessable," on line 4 of said section.
