530 JOURNAL OF PROCEEDINGS [Mar.

The bill was read the second time and ordered to be
engrossed for a third reading.
Mr. Moore, from Committee on Corporations, reported
favorably, with proposed amendments,
House bill entitled "An Act to incorporate the Birnie
Trust Company."
AMENDMENTS PROPOSED.

Add an additional section after section 15 to be
known as "section 15 A," so as to read as foliows:
"Section 15 A, The home office of this body corporate
shall be located in Carroll county, in the State of Mary-
land."
Add an additional section after section 15 A, to be
known as "Section 15 B," and to read as follows:
"Section 15 B. The body corporate hereby created
shall exercise the rights, franchises granted under the
provisions of this Act, within six months from the pas-
sage of this Act, otherwise this Act shall be null and
void, and of no force or effect whatever."
Which proposed amendmnents were severally adopted,
and
The bill was read the second time.
Also favorably, with proposed amendment,
Senate bill No. 170, entitled "An Act to extend the
privileges, enlarge the powers and amend the charter of
the Sharptown Marine Railway Company of Sharptown,
Wicomico county, Maryland, a corporation duly incorp-
orated under the general laws of this State."
AMENDMENT PROPOSED.

Add after section 4 the following
"That the capital stock of said corporation may consist
of two hundred and fifty shares, of the par value of one
hundred dollars each, being two thousand and five hun-
dred dollars."
Which proposed amendment was adopted, and
The bill was read the second time and ordered to be
engrossed for a third rending.
Also, favorably, with proposed amendments,
House bill entitled "An Act to incorporate the Mercan-
the Bank of Baltimore, located in the city of Baltimore."
