The Committee appointed by the Senate and the House of Delegates to count the votes cast for Treasurer of Maryland, beg heave to report, that: The votes cast by the Senate were in number, . 23 The votes cast by the .House were in number, . 85 Making in all 108 Of which number Murray Vandiver received 76 Thomas J. Shryock received 32 We therefore respectfully report that Murray Vandi- ver having received the largest number of votes, is re- turned by the tellers as elected to the office of Treasurer of Maryland. Upon the report of the tellers to count the vote of the two Houses of the General Assembly, the President of the Senate declared that the Hon. Murray Vandiver hav- ing received a majority of the votes of the two Houses for Treasurer of Maryland, was therefore duly elected as such Treasurer, and directed that the declaratioh should be spread upon the Journal. JOINT RESOLUTION. By Mr. Williams, of Harford, Joint Resolution to request the commission created by chaptor 311, of the Acts of the General Assembly of 1898, to make provisions for the submission by Mary- land Sculptors of Models before determining the models to be approved.
