the People's Bank of Baltimore city, a body corporate,
as containcd in the Act of 1884, chapter 342, by repeal-
ing and re-enacting with amendments section 3 of said
Act."

ment of a Justice of the Peace, who shall have jurisdic-
tion in and for the town of Takoma Park."

Senate bill entitled "An Act to repeal section 217, of
Article 16, of the Code of Public Local Laws, title ‘Mont-
gomery County,' sub-title ‘Sheriff,' and to re-enact the
same with amendments."

BY THE SENATE,

Annapolis, Md., Feb. 28th, 1900.
Gentlemen of the House of Delegates:
We have received your message requesting the Senate
to recede from its amendments to House bill No. 232, en-
titled "An Act to authorize and empower the County
Commissioners of Baltimore county, to change the grade
of the public road in the 13th dirtrict of said county,
commonly known as the ‘Washington Turnpike Road.'
We respectfully inform you that the Senate adheres to
its amendments and proposes with your concurrence the
appointment of a Joint Committee of Conference on the
disagreeing votes of the two Houses."
