upon receipt of such request, immediately notify the
superintendent."
Amendment No. 7. Amend by striking out the word
"shall” on line 194, of section 207, of Article 1, and sec-
tion 161, of Article 12, and inserting in lieu thereof the
word "to."
Amendment No. 8. Amend by adding to the end of
section 207, of Article 1, and section 161, of Article 12,
the following: "The written request of the miner or
mine inspector above mentioned shall be held and re-
tained by said mine inspector solely for his own use and
information, and it shall not be lawful for him to show
or exhibit it, or make known either, directly or indirect-
ly, its contents or any part of the same to any other per-
son or persons or body corporate."

engrossed for a third reading.
Mr. Williams, of Harford, from Select Committee, re-
ported favorably, with proposed amendments,
House bill entitled "An Act to repeal sections 261, 262
C, 262 K, 262 N and 262 Q, of the Code of Public Local
Laws, title ‘Harford County,' sub-title 'Taxes,' as enacted
by the Act of 1898, chapter 204, and to re-enact the same
with amendments."
AMENDMENTs PROPOSED.
1. In Code, section 261, line 10 of section 1, of en-
grossed bill, after the word "county," insert the words
"when certified to him by the county commissioners."
2. In Code, section 262 C, line 15, of section 1 of
engrossed bill, strike out the word "January” and in-
sert in lieu thereof the word "February."
3. In same Code, section, and sectior of bill, line 19,
strike out the word "first” and insert in lieu thereof the
word "twentieth," and strike out also the words "Feb-
ruary next ensuing," and insert in lieu thereof the
words "said month."
In same section of engrossed bill, strike out all from
