1900. OF THE SENATE. 429 Amend title by striking out the words "a new section” on line 1, and inserting the words "two new sections." Amend title by striking out all after the word "num- bered” on the third line, and inserting "Sections 96 A and 96 B, and to follow section 96." Amend section 1 by striking out the words "a new sec- tion” on line 1, and inserting "two new sections." Amend section 1, line 2, by striking out the word "is," and inserting the word "are." Amend section 1, line 4, by striking out the words "Section 96 A," and inserting "Sections 96 A and 96 B." Which proposed amendments were severally adopted, and the bill was read the second time. Also, unfavorably, House bill entitled "An Act to add an additional sec- tion to Article 17, of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland, title ‘Prince George's County,' sub-title ‘Sheriff,' to follow section 298, and to be known as ‘Sec- tion 298 A' of said Article." Which report was adopted. Also, unfavorably, House bill entitled "An Act to make valid powers of attorney made by married women." Which report was adopted. Also favorably, House bill entitled "An Act to repeal section 146 D, of Article 81, of the Code of Public General Laws, as en- acted by the Act of L898, chapter 501.' Which was read the second time. Also favorably, House bill entitled "An Act to add additional sections to Article 27, of the Code of Public General Laws, title ‘Crimes and Punishments,' sub-title, ‘Procedure Indict- ments,' to be known as ‘Section 291 C.'" Which was read the second time.
