By Mr. Moses, A bill entitled "An Act to amend the charter of the American Bonding and Trust Company of Baltimore city, and to repeal and re-enact with amendments section 3, of chapter 252, of the Acts of 1894, incorporating said company under the name of ‘The American Banking and Trust Company of Baltimore city,' and to repeal and re- enact with amendments sub-section 2, of sectiqn 1, of chapter 41, of the Acts of 1896, amending the charter of said company, and changing its name to that of the 'American Banking and Trust Company of Baltimore city, and to increase the capital stock of said company, and to enlarge the powers of its officers." Which was read the first timeand referred to the Com- mittee on Corporations. By Mr. Williams, of Anne Arundel, A bill entitled "An Act to authorize the County Com- missioners of Anne Arundel county to subscribe to the capital stock of the Baltimore and Southern Railroad Company." Which was read the first time, and referred to Sen- ators Williams, of Anne Arundel, Bouic and Wilkinson. By Mr. Bryan, A bill entitled "An Act directing the Police Commis- sioners of Baltimore city to pay to George R. Beaver a pension of $9 per week." Which was read the first time and referred to Senators Bryan, Moses and Putzel. By Mr. Dick, A bill entitled "An Act to submit to the legal and quali- fied voters of the town of Lonaconing, in Allegany county, Maryland, the question whether or not certain additional sections should be added to chapter 435, of the Acts of 1892, amendatory of the Act of 1890, chapter 132, entitled ‘An Act to incorporate the town of Lonaconing, in Alle- gany county.'" Which was read the first time and referred to Senators Dick, Ravenscroft and Betts. |
