voters in the annexed territory to the said town of Salis-
bury."

In section 1, on the 4th line of engrossed bill after the
word "follows," add the following:

(2) "And that an additional section to he known as
'Section 132 A,' be added after section 132, so as to read
as follows.

Which proposed amendments were severally adopted,

And the bill was read the second time and ordered to
be engrossed for a third reading.

Mr. Brewington, from Select Committee, reported
favorably,

Senate bill entitled "An Act to repeal section 152, of
Article 23. of the Code of Public Local Laws of Mary-
land, title ‘Wicomico County,' sub-title ‘Salisbury,' and to
re-enact the same with amendments."

Which was read the second time and ordered to be en-
grossed fot a third reading.

Also, favorably,

Senate bill entitled "An Act to repeal section 144, of
Article 23, of the Code of Public Local Laws of Mary-
land, title ‘Wicomico County,' sub-title ‘Salisbury,' and to
re-enact the same with amendments."

Which was read the second time and ordered to be en-
grossed for a third reading.

Also, favorably,

Senate bill entitled "An Act to provide for an extra
levy by the Mayor and Council of Salisbury, in Wicom-
ico county, for the purpose of refunding taxes errone-
ously paid on tax levies for the years 1897 and 1898, and
to pay the indebtedness of the Mayor and Council of
Salisbury incurred by reason of the inability to collect
the illegal levies of the said years 1896 and 1897, and to
be designated as ‘Section 158 A,' of the Code of Public
Local Laws of Maryland, title ‘Wicomico County,' sub-
title ‘Salisbury,' and lo follow section 158, of Article 23."

Which was read the second time, and ordered to be en-
grossed for a third reading.
