ORDERS.
On motion of Mr. Rohrback, it was
Ordered, That Senator Betts be excused from attend-
ance at to-day's session of the Senate, by reason of im-
portant business.

On motion of Mr. Peter, it was
Ordered, That the name of Senator Kirwan be added
to the membership of the Engrossing Committee.

Which was referred to the Committee on Rules.

INTRODUCTION OF BILLS.

A bill entitled "An Act to refund to John R. Benton
of Queen Anne's county a sum of money erroneously
paid. by him into the State Treasury."

16, of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland, title
‘Montgomery County,' sub-title ‘Circuit Court,' and to
