On motion of Mr. Crothers,
Said bill was referred to the Committee on Finance.
Mr. Moses, from Select Committee, reported favorably,
Senate bill entitled "An Act to repeal and re-enact
with amendments, section 387, of Article 4, of the Code
of Public Local Laws of Maryland, title ‘City of Balti-
more,' sub-title ‘Miscellaneous Local Laws.'"
Which was read the second time and ordered to be en-
grossed for a third reading.
Also, favorably,
Senate bill entitled "An Act to add a new section to
Article 4, of the Code of Public Local Laws, as repealed
and re-enacted by the Act of 1898, chapter 123, title
‘City of Baltimore,' sub-title ‘Miscellaneous Local Laws,'
to come in after section 321, to be known as ‘Section
321 A."
Which was read the second time and ordered to be en-
grossed for a third reading.

BILLS—THIRD READING.
Senate bill entitled "An Act to repeal chapter 68, of the
Acts of the General Assembly of Maryland, passed at the
January session, in the year 1896, entitled ‘An Act to
repeal chapter 74, of the Acts of the General Assembly
of Maryland, passed at the January session, in year
1892,' entitled ‘An Act to add an additional section to
Article 11, of the Code of Public Local Laws of Mary-
land,' title ‘Frederick County,' sub-title ‘Justices of the
Peace and Constables,' to be known as ‘Section 289 A,'
creating a Police Justice of the Peace for Election Dis-
trict No. 2, Frederick county, and to re-enact the same
with amendments, and to re-enact said section 289 A, as
adopted by said Act of 1892, chapter 74, with amend-
men ts."

Was read the third time and passed by yeas and nays
as follows:
