362 JOURNAL OF PROCEEDINGS [Feb. 20 Also, A bill entitled "An Act to repeal and re-enact with amendments section 7, of chapter 457, of the Acts of the General Assembly of Maryland, passed at time January session 1898, entitled ‘An Act to repeal Article 45, of the Code of Public General Laws, title ‘Husband and Wife,' and to re-enact the same with amendments.'" Which was read the first time and referred to the Committee on Judicial Proceedings. By Mr. Bryan, A bill entitled "An Act to enlarge and extend time powers of the Mechanics Savings Bank of Baltimore city, Maryland, and to increase the board of directors of the same." ‘Which was read the first time and referred to the Com- mittee on Corporations. By Mr. Dick, A bill entitled "An Act to repeal secticns 196 to 209, inclustve, of Article 1, of the Public Local Laws of Mary- land, entitled ‘Allegany County,' sub-title ‘Mine Inspec- tor,' aud also, to repeal sections 150 to 164, inclusive, of Article 12, of the Public Local Laws of Maryland. entitled ‘Garrett County,' sub-title ‘Manufacturers and Mines," for the appointment of mine inspector for Allegany and Garrett counties, and regulation of coal mines in said counties, and to re-enact them with amendments, and to add certain new sections to said respective Articles to follow in the first mentioned Article, section 209, to be designated as ‘Sections 209 A, 209 B, 209 C and 209 D," and to follow in the second mentioned Article, ‘Section 16 H,' to he designated as ‘Sections 164 A, 164 B. and 164 C." Which was read the first time and referred to the Com- mittee on Finance. By Mr. Moore, A bill entitled "An Act to authorize Archie C. Holloway, of Worcester county, to settle his accounts as guardian to John L. Holloway and to pay over all moneys dime said ward." Which was read the first time and referred to the Com- mittee on Judicial Proceedings.
