Hopkins, jr., of Harford county, be elected Engrossing Clerk of the Senate, in addition to those already appointed. On motion of Mr. Peter, it was Ordered, That when the Senate adjourns to-day, that it stand adjourned until 11 o'clock to-morrow. Mr. Crothers submitted the following message BY THE SENATE, Jany. 10th, 1900. Gentlemen of the House of Delegates: We respectfully invite you to be present in the Senate Chamber at 12 o'clock, meridian, to-day, to participate with us in the inauguration of the Governor-elect, and to witness the administration of the oath to him by the Chief Judge of the Court of Appeals, in compliance with the requirements of the Constitution and laws of the State. We will appoint a committee to wait upon your Hon- orable Body and conduct you to the Senate Chamber. By order, ALFRED RITTER, Secretary. Which was read, assented to, and sent to the House of Delegates. On motion of Mr. Crothers, The President appointed Senators Brewington and Den- nis to escort the House of Delegates to the Senate Cham- ber, and Senators Bouic and Williams, of Harford, to escort the Court of Appeals to the Senate Chamber to witness the inauguration. |
