On motion of Mr. Crothers, it was Ordered, That the Finance Committee bf the Senate, be and it is hereby directed to confer with the Ways and Means Committee of the House, with the view of having all appropriation bills refunding moneys erron- eously paid into the Treasury, enacted in an omnibus bill. On motion of Mr. Williams, of Anne Arundel, it was Ordered, That Hugh R. Riley, now acting as assistant to the State Librarian, be constituted Clerk to the Library Committee of the Senate, and qualify as an officer of the Senate, and that it shall be his duty to be present at the library every day and evening, excepting Sundays, dur- ing the session of 1900. On motion of Mr. Applegarth, it was Ordered, That Mr. Claggett be excused from to-day's session on account of sickness. On motion of Mr. Dick, it was Ordered, That Senator Baker be excused from to-day's session on account of business. On motion of Mr. Crothers, it was Ordered, That the following persons be elected officers of the Senate in addition to those already selected: Engrossing Clerks—Richard R. Gott, of Montgomery county; Thomas T. Bruner, of Worcester county; E. R. Crothers, of Cecil county; John E. Black, of Carroll county; V. S. Rea, of Dorchester county; V. Augusti Gourley, W. 0. Connors, of Baltimore city. Pages—George VT. Abel Taylor, Anne Arundel county; Cooper Wysham, Baltimore county. Assistant Post Master—James E. Tate, of Anne Arun- del county. Messenger—S. A.
