pointed.
By Mr. Putzel,
A bill entitled an Act to amend Article 32, of the Code
of Pñblic General Laws, entitled "Election," as re-enacted
by chapter 212, of the Acts of the General Assembly of
Maryland, of 1898, by adding thereto twelve additional
sections under the sub-title "Corrupt Practices," to fol-
low section one hundred and fifty-one, as now enacted.
Which was read the first time, and referred to the
Committee on Civil Service, hereafter to be appointed.
By Mr. Putzel,
A bill entitled an Act to provide for the creation of a
Board of Police Examiners for Baltimore city, to define
and prescribe the duties thereof, and to regulate ap-
pointments to; promotions; reductions in ranks and trans-
fers in and removals from the police force of said city,
and to repeal all Acts and parts of Acts inconsistent
with this Act; said provisions to be a part of Article 4,
Public Local Laws, sub-title "Police Commissioners," and
to be numbered sections 745 A, 745 B, 745 C, 745 D. 745
E and 745 F.
Which was read the first time, and referred to the
Committee on Judicial Proceedings, hereafter to be ap-
pointed.
By Mr. Williams, of Anne Arundel,
A bill entitled an Act to repeal section 3, of chapter
497, of the Acts of the General Assembly of Maryland,
session of 1898, entitled "An Act to authorize and direct
the County Commissioners of Anne Arundel County to
build a bridge over Curtis creek, and also to build a
bridge over Cabin branch, a tributary of said Curtis
creek, and to provide by the issuance of bonds the means
of building the same, and making said bridges free for
public travel.
Which was read the first time, and referred to Sena-
tors Williams of Anne Arundel, Bouic and Moore.

A bill entitled an Act to repeal section 164, of Article
4, of the Public Local Laws of Maryland, title "City or
Baltimore," the subject of said section relating to the
