ORDERS.
On motion of Mr. Peter, is was
Ordered, That the President of the Senate be and he
is hereby authorized, either in conjunction with the
Speaker of the House or alone, to request of the Board
of Police Commissioners of Baltimore city, to detail
twenty-five members of the police force of Baltimore
city, to assist in preserving order during the inaugural
ceremonies to-morrow. Such officers to be sworn in as
deputy sheriffs by the Sheriff of Anne Arundel county.
Which was adopted.
On motion of Mr. Bouic, it was
Ordered, That Senator Wm. B. Clagett be excused
on account of sicknes.
Which was adopted.
By Mr. Beasman, it was
Ordered, That the thanks of the Senators be tendered
Messrs. A. S. Abell & Co., for the Sun almanac placed
upon their desks to-day.
Which was adopted.
By Mr. Williams, of Harf., it was
Ordered, That Senators Baker and Marsh be excused
from attendance at to-day's session.
Which was adopted.
By Mr. Peter, it was
Ordered, That when the Senate adjourns to-night it
stands adjourned until 11 o'clock A. M., to-morrow.
Which was adopted.
