At 1.50 P. M.,

On motion of Mr. Williams, of Anne Aruudel,
The Senate adjourned until Monday, February 12th,

at 8 P. M.

NIGHT SESSION.

MONDAY, Feb. 12th, 1900.

The Senate met at 8 P. M.

Prayer by the Rev. Mr. Winstead.

Present at the roll call the following Senators:

Messrs. President, Applegarth, Beasman, Betts, Bouic,
Brewington, Bryan, Crothers, Dennis, Dodson, Kirwan,
Marsh, Messick, Moses, Peter, Putzel, Ravenscroft,
Rohrback, Wilkinson, Williams, of Harford—20.
The Journal of Friday, was read and approved.


PETITIONS, MEMORIALS AND OTHER PAPER.

The President presented a petition from Jno. Edwards
and 100 others asking for the retention of the present
law for the observance of the Sabbath.
Which- was read, and referred to the Committee on
Judicial Proceedings.
Also,
A petition from J. E. Grammar and 150 others pro-
testing against a change in the laws regarding the ob-
servance of the, Sabbath.
Which was read, and referred to the Committee on
Judicial Proceedings.
Also,
A petition from Rev. Watson Case and 45 other citi-
zens of Baltimore city, protesting against any modifica-
tion of the Sunday law.
