M., The Senators returned to the Senate. Mr. Crothers submitted the following message: BY THE SENATE, January 3, 1900. Gentlemen of the House of Delegates: We respectfully propose, with the concurrence of your Honorable Body, that the Senate and House of Delegates appoint a committee of eight, five on the part of the House, and three on the part of the Senate, to wait on the Governeor-elect and inform him of his election, and to request his attendance at the State House in Annapolis, on Wednesday, the 10th day of January, 1900, at 12 o'clock noon, to qualify according to the requirements of the Constitution and the form of Government of the State of Maryland, and to make arrangements for the inaugural ceremonies. We have appointed on the part of the Senate Messrs. Bryan, Peter and Ravenscroft. By order, ALFRED RITTER, Secretary. Which was read, assented to, and sent to the House of Delegates. At 3.16 P. M., On motion of Mr. Williams, of Harford, The Senate went into Executive Session. At 3.40 P. M., On motion of Mr. Peter, The Senate resumed legislative business. At 3.41 P. M., On motion of Mr. Peter, The Senate adjourned. |
