The Journal of Wednesday was read and approved. PETITIONS, MEMORIALS AND OTHER PAPERS. Mr. Baker presented a petition from various voters of Baltimore county in favor of the passage of the General Local Option Law. Which was read, and referred to the Committee on Temperance. ORDERS. On motion of Mr. Peter, it was Ordered, Tl1at the Engrossing Clerks of the Senate shall report to the Chief Engrossing Clerk every morning the Senate is in session, at 9 A. M., and the Chief En- grossing Clerk shall keep a record of the attendance of each clerk. Which was read and referred to the Committee on Engrossed Bills. On motion of Mr. Rohrhack, it was Ordered, That James Farrell be appointed Janitor of the Senate Lobby, President's Room aud Secretary's Of- fice; and to assist the Secretary and Journal Clerk of the Senate in copying, and to perform such other duties as may be assigned him by the President of the Senate, at a per diem of five dollars per day from beginning of ses- sion. Which was read and referred to the Committee on Finance. On motion of Mr. Dick, it was Ordered, That the State Printer be authorized to print 300 copies, each, of Local Bills' File, Nos. 116 and 117. Which was adopted. On motion of Mr. Baker, it was Ordered, That when the Senale adjourns, it stands ad- journed ts meet Friday at 10.30 A. M. Which was rejected. |
