Mr. Orothers, from the Committee on Finance, report- ed favorably, with proposed amendment, Senate bill entitled "An Act to authorize the Mayor, Connselor and Aldermen of the city of Annapolis to issue bonds to the amount of one hundred and twenty-one thousand dollars to pay off the present floating indebt- edness of the city of Annapolis, and provide a fund for the permanent improvement of said city." AMENDMENT PROPOSED. In line 3 of section 2 strike out the word "State." Which amendment was adopted, and the bill, as amended, Was read the second time, and ordered to be engrossed for a third reading. Mr. Bouic, from Committee oii Judicial Proceedings, reported favorably, Senate bill No. 25, entitled "An Act to protect the citizens of the State of Maryland from unjust discrimi- nations by electric road companies and other public con- veyances operating partly in this State and partly in the District of Cølumbia." Which was read the second tune and ordered to be en- grossed for a third reading. Also favorably, with proposed amendments, Senate bill No. 55, entitled "An Act to repeal and re- enact with amendments section 227, of Article 93, of the Code of Public General Laws of Maryland, as amended by the Act of 1892, chapter 465." AMENDMENT PROPOSED. Amend original bill by striking out all the words on line 5 of section 1, after the word "dollars," down to the word "for," on the 6th line of said section.
