The Senate resumed Legislative business.
Mr. Orothers, submitted the following message:
BY THE SENATE,
January 30th, 1900.
Gentlemen of the House of Delegates:
We have received your message proposing the appoint-
ment of a Joint Select Committee of five, three on the
part of the House and two on the part of the Senate, to
investigate and report to the General Assembly upon the
affairs of St. John's College, Annapolis, in accordance
with resolution No. 41, of the General' Assembly of 1832,
and we concur therein.
We have appointed on the part of the Senate, Messrs.
Crothers and Dick.

Which was read, assented to, and sent to the House of
Delegates.
On motion of Mr. Bryan,
The Senate reconsidered the motion by which
Senate bill entitled "An Act to provide for the pay-
ment to the Mayor and City Council of Baltimore of all
money received for licenses by the Clerk of the Court of
Common Pleas in the city of Baltimore."
Was made the Special Order of the Day for Wednes-
day, January 31st, at 12.30 P. M., and
Said bill was recommitted to the Committee on Fin-
ance.
