quantity of land, for the maintenance of a Normal and
Industrial School for colored children.
Resolved, That a copy of these resolutions be immedi-
ately forwarded to the Senators and Representatives in
Congress from the State of Maryland.
Which was read the first time, and referred to the
Committee on Federal Relations.
REPORTS OF STANDING COMMITTEES.
Mr. Moses, from the Committee on Temperance, re-
ported favorably,
Senate bill entitled "An Act to amend the Acts of
Assembly of 1874, chapter 453, and also the Acts of As-
sembly, 1888, chapter 169, by adding two new sections
there to, to be known as ‘Sections 7 and 8.'"
Which was read the second time, and ordered to be
engrossed for a third reading.
Mr. Crothers from Committee on Rules, reported fa-
vorably the following order by Mr. Williams, of Anne
Arundel,
Ordered, That the President of the Senate be request-
ed to appoint a committee on Fish and Game laws, to
consist of five members, to be a Standing Committee of
the Senate, as established by its present Rules, and that
to said committee (when appointed) shall be referred all
bills, whether of a local or general character, designed to
regulate the time and manner of taking, killing or trap-
ping game and fish within this State, except such bills as
are properly referable to the Committee on Chesapeake
Bay and its Tributaries.
