House bill entitled "An Act to repeal and re-enact with
amendments sections 253, 254, 255 and 256 of Article 10
of the Code of Public Local Laws, title ‘Dorchester
County,' sub-title ‘Oysters,' as said sections were Code-
ified in 1888, and all amendments thereto."
Which was read the second time.
Also, favorably,
House bill entitled "An Act to change the name of
Parsons' Creek Election District of Dorchester county to
that of Taylor's Island Election District of Dorchester
county."
Which was read the second time.
Also, favorably,
House bill entitled "An Act to authorize the Register
of Wills for Dorchester county to make a general index
of certain records of his office."
Which was read the second time.
Also favorably,
House bill entitled "An Act to authorize and empower
Harvey H. Conway to construct in front of his property
in the town of Cambridge, Dorchester county, a wharf or
shell walk extending out into the Great Ohoptank river."
Which was read the second time.
Mr. Williams, of Harford, from Select Committee, re-
ported favorably, with proposed amendments,
House bill entitled "An Act to add a new section to
Article 13, of the Code of Public Local Laws of Mary-
land, title ‘Harford County,' sub-title 'Havre-de-Grace,'
to follow section 217, and to be designated as ‘Section
208.'"
AMENDMENT PROPOSED.
Strike out all the bill after the word "property” in
line 6, of engrossed bill, and insert in lieu thereof the
following : "Unless suit be brought therefor within one
year from the date of such injury, and at the time of
bringing such suit, the plaintiff shall give notice in writ-
ing to the said Mayor and City Council of the time and
place of such injury and of the extent thereof as far as
known."
